phantom of the opera

Phantom of the Opera is in town and I want to go. Big surprise, right? Who doesn't want to go? I've gone once, when I was in college, and it was amazing. The commercials for Phantom keep sticking songs from the show in my head. I'll admit though, I don't mind having Music of the Night stuck in my head. Let's see if I can get it stuck in your head too.

petaluma past & present

I miss the youth from Petaluma. I started working with the Jr. Highers there alongside my hubby in 2005 (when we were dating) and I can't believe how old everyone is getting. We'll visit a Petaluma youth event with our Healdsburg youth group from time to time and the girls are so tall and beautiful and the guys are so big and mature... ha ha... not so much. Luckily we still live close enough that we can visit and hang out with some of the kids every once and a while. One of the darling girls who I have seen grow up- and I mean grow up, she's almost as tall as me now- is my friend Michelle. I remember the first time she came to youth group as a tiny, shy 7th grader. Now she's a beautiful, bubbly young woman. We had the chance to hang out yesterday and I had a great time catching up and being silly (of course) with her. Time is sure flying by.

Michelle and I one of the first weeks after she started coming to youth group.

Us trying on vintage hats yesterday.

We can't help it- we're just kooks. Oh, and coincidentally, tomorrow is Michelle's 15th birthday.

Happy birthday eve, Michelle!!!

the last breakfast

Our last breakfast in our crooked little house for a while. We have moved in with the parents so we don't die from mold something-or-other. Goodbye little house. I will miss you.

extreme halloween

David and I were extreme inline skaters for Halloween. We were rolling around the church all evening. Pretty much the funnest costumes ever.
